
Eleven Woodlane students entered the Ishinryu Karate Summer Open held at Harold Lodge and hosted by Upminster Ishinryu. Woodlane club members returned with eight trophies including three first places.
Jan came first in boys Kumite (up to 7th Kyu) and third place in Kata (up to 3rd Kyu)
Tom came first in Kumite (up to 3rd Kyu) and second in Kata (6th to 4th Kyu).
Georgie Cameron came first in girls Kumite (2nd Kyu and above).
James Knight came second in Kata (Cadet Open).
Alfie came third in Kumite (up to 3rd Kyu)
Jake was awarded second place in Kumite (up to 3rd Kyu). A special mention for Jake who started training less than a month ago and is currently ungraded.
Other Woodlane participants included Bethany, Brittany, Daniel, Kemal, and Vas Eroglu.
